Superintendent Benjamin Zaney is a Senior Technical Consultant with a very rich and strong 25 years of experience in the maritime industry and over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industries.
In the maritime industries, he progressed to the top rank of Chief Engineer, and served on large crude oil tankers; VLCC and Aframax tankers for over ten years. From there, he joined the oil and gas industry in 2010 as a Chief Engineer for the conversion of a VLCC tanker into a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel at the Jurong shipyard in Singapore, which is today known as the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah. He was the first Ghanaian Chief Engineer to be employed by Modec Ghana Ltd.
He has served for over 10 years with Modec in Ghana, retiring as Superintendent, and contracted as a consultant for three (3) additional years.
Mr. Zaney has also been lecturing at the Regional Maritime University since 2012 as a part-time lecturer. He teaches Engineering Knowledge subjects in the marine Engineering discipline.
